Lawrence had impressed Naga Chaitanya

Naga Chaitanya is presently busy with a film under Sukumar’s direction which is being produced by Allu Aravind on the banner of Gita Arts. Tamanna is pairing up with Naga Chaitanya and the film is most likely to be released in February.

The latest buzz from the Film Nagar is that he gave his nod to a film under the direction of popular choreographer Lawerence. The storyline narrated by Lawrence had impressed Naga Chaitanya and he immediately gave his nod to do the film and asked the director to develop and prepare a full-fledged and complete script before going to the sets. Taking his word, Lawrence became busy in finalizing the script in total.

However, details of the other artistes and technicians is not immediately available as the selection is still I progress. Watch this space for more details.

Vamsi Paidipalli has bagged another big chance.

Vamsi Paidipalli has bagged another big chance. His first film, Munna, was not a big success, yet he convinced NTR. His Brindavanam put NTR altogether in a new dimension and the star is so happy with the result.

Looks like Ram Charan too was impressed with his work in Brindavanam and he reportedly agreed to a one line story narration. Buzz is that he might direct Ram Charan for producer Dil Raju. Vamsi has directed his last two films for Dil Raju and if this goes to the sets it will be his third movie with Dil Raju. Currently, Vamsi is finalising the script.

On the other hand, Ram Charan has his hands full. He has already been working for Tamil director Dharani's mass masala movie, Merupu. And then he will also be producing his father Megastar Chiranjeevi`s 150th film. Apart from these, he is also committed to do Krishnavamsi`s movie for producer Ghanta Srinivas Rao, a Prajarajyam Party member.

Charan recently made a statement that Mega Star Chiranjeev

It is well known that Mega Star Chiranjeevi is making his re-entry into Tollywood . Power Star Ram Charan is expected to produce the 150th film of Chiranjeevi under his own banner. Ram Charan recently made a statement about this film that nothing had been conformed yet. He said that they have not finalized anything not even the story. We are not sure whether it would be a commercial, socio- fantasy or a social awareness film. We are considering the life story of Uyyavula Narasimha Reddy but not conformed it. He also made it clear that none of the director has been conformed for the film.

Personally, Ram Charan wants to see Chiru in Tagore type of film. Apart from politics, Chiru is spending one and half hour time to listen to the scripts daily.

So, the anxiety still continues. The film is expected to go on sets in February, 2011. For the viewers to remember, Chiru has stated about this film in the past that it is going to have social message with all the commercial ingredients. Lets hope the final outcome will be the same.

Sanjay Dutt & Hrithik to share screen again

They were earlier critically acclaimed for their performances in ‘Mission Kashmir’. And now they will soon share the screen space for a remake project – the original movie which was hailed one of the best landmarks in Hindi cinema.

We are talking about Amitabh Bachchan’s hit movie ‘Agneepath’ which is gonna be remade by debutant director Karan Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar. While the buzz was making in rounds for some time that Hrithik Roshan will play the lead in this one, latest our birdies revealed that Sanjay Dutt has been signed on for the villain’s role, Kancha Cheena – the popular negative character of the film played by Danny Denzongpa.

Well, interestingly Sanjay supposedly be donning a bald look here. But it’s said that the actor is yet to confirm things concerning his hairdo, as he has several projects on hands for which he cannot afford to play on his looks. So the hairdo aspect will be decided later.

As a matter of fact, birdies heard that this negative role was initially meant for Rishi Kapoor.

Hmmm, looks like this movie will go on to be a milestone in Dutt’s career… What say?

Raajakeeyam," Varma posted on his Twitter page.

"Company was about underworld politics and Sarkar
was about family politics. But I never ever made a film on political politics. But now seeing the incredible drama unfolding, I have developed this tremendous desire to do a film called Raajakeeyam," Varma posted on his Twitter page.

"'Raajakeeyam' will deal with behind the scenes of political mechanisms and political psychologies. Hearing about what's going on behind the going ons...it dawned upon me that more than politics in underworld, there is more underworld in politics," he added.

Rumours related to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Rumours related to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have again started making the rounds. The rumours, this time, are related to her pregnancy not in India but in Dubai.

But rumours have become such a routine affair for Ash that she does not even clarify them. We presume that she chooses to laugh it off.

Ash had some interviews scheduled in Dubai, but they were cancelled at the last moment leading to speculation among the small community of Indian journalists in the Middle East.

" Unless it is a case of dodgy Indian curries that is slowly but surely emanating, the rumour mills are grinding to grist the possibility of a classic Ash diva tantrum because she is pregnant," quoted the local newspaper in Dubai.

Sources had informed the newspaper that Ash was not well and hence had cancelled the said interviews. This is not the first time that the buzz about her pregnancy hasreached us.

Had we believed in all these gossips Ash and Abhishek should have had a few babies by now. We guess we should leave the couple alone and give them the benefit of doubt and the honour to make the announcement themselves.

After all, their marriage was the biggest ever in Bollywood and when the Bachchans will confirm any such news it would surely be the biggest one, too.

HIV/AIDS, starring Nagarjuna, Anushka

A short 2D animation film to create awareness on HIV/AIDS, starring Nagarjuna, Anushka Shetty, Shabana Azmi, Navdeep, Colours Swathi and Shruthi Hasan would hit screens soon.

Nagarjuna and Anushka released the CDs of the short film in Telugu and English versions with the title ‘Prevention is better than cure’ at LV Prasad Eye Institute here on Friday. The programme was jointly organised by Nimmagadda Foundation and Teach AIDS.

Speaking on the occasion, Nagarjuna said that he gave his own voice for this 2D film. He called upon all NGOs to come out and help people suffering from the disease.

HIV/AIDS education through films has proven to be more effective than other approaches, with people, especially students learning and retaining information about HIV prevention without directly discussing sexually explicit or otherwise taboo topics.

Actress Anushka said that there was a need to discuss and educate students in classrooms to create awareness among them about the number of people who die due to the dreadful diseases in the country.

Nimmagadda Foundation and Teach AIDS, a non profit organisation founded at Stanford University, USA, by Dr. Piya Sorcar have joined hands to bring in awareness about HIV /AIDS among youth and high school children in India through an animation based innovative communication model.

“We are initially releasing the 2D animated short films in association with Nimmagadda Foundation in Telugu and English. We are also planning to release more CDs in Kannada, Tamil, Marathi and Indian languages to communicate with the people,’’ said Piya Sorcar, founder of Teach AIDS.

She is not only excited about her role that she has portrayed in Manmadhan Ambu (MA) but also about her stage performance with co-star Kamal Hassan during the audio launch of the film. Referring Kamal Hassan as her guru, Trisha says that it was due to the sincere tutoring efforts of Kamal that she was able to sing and recite so well during the audio launch program of Manmadhan Ambu in Singapore. MA is a romantic comedy where she plays the role of an upcoming actress. Also in the pipeline for the actress are films like Mangaatha in Tamil, Kushigaa and Savithri in Telugu. Now that Trisha has established quite a name for herself down south, she is choosing her films and advertising campaigns with care. Having begun her career as a model, the actress still endorses several brands such as Fanta, Scooty Pep and Vivel Di Wills

Shraddha Das is not going to act in films,

Shraddha Das is not going to act in films, which portray her as the second lead anymore. The girl is presently on cloud nine as she is working with Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar's Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji and has made it clear to producers down south that if they want to cast her in their films, then, they will have to cast her as the film’s lead heroine.

The actress says that since she has already worked as one of the lead stars in a Bollywood film, it does not make sense for her to go back to playing supporting actress roles in Telugu ventures. Though Shraddha debuted with Telugu film and has worked in a couple of Tollywood flicks, it was through her Hindi film Lahore that the actress gained countrywide acclamation.

Lahore was not a commercial hit. But it won the attention of the critics and also went on to win the National Award. It was from here that she was noticed by director Madhur Bhandarkar, says Shraddha Das.

The actress has not signed any Bollywood venture after Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji and she is waiting for a meaty role in B-town. However, she is playing one of the female leads in Venkatesh starrer Nagavalli.

She said that earlier she was reserved as a newcomer but now she can connect well with him. She is also very happy to get an opportunity to work with filmmaker Shankar and considers it as a dream coming true for her.

However, Ileana has claimed to watch the Hindi version of 3 Idiots twice. Well, every actress says the same thing when they are taken for a remake movie but if Ileana can really put forth her own style then audience would love to watch her because she is youthful and pretty and has given some really good performances in her earlier films.

Tollywood avoids clubbing

Once ferocious party animals Allu Arjun, Navdeep, Sharwanand, Mumait Khan, Rana et al are now barely seen in nightclubs. While partygoers fume at the lack of glam quotient in clubs, the stars prefer to stay aloof than risk being branded as drug users.

Worse still, a few nightclubs in the city are raided post midnight by the police and narcotics officials to check for any drug users. "I am not clubbing often in the city because most of my friends in the industry don't club as frequently as before," admits actress Mumait Khan, a self-proclaimed party animal.

While nightclubs are a strict no-no with stars now, house parties are proving to be big-time hits. Post shoot, they gather at a star's place or a director's office and party all night. The actors now don't need to worry as there are no paparazzi eyeing them or onlookers judging them for sipping a glass of wine.

Actress Bindu Madhavi, who's working in her maiden Tamil venture Veppam, says, "I wasn't in the town when actors' names were flashed on TV channels insinuating that they were involved in drugs. It is good to be partying in friend's places or decent restaurants where the murky acts of some don't damage our image. I continue to party because I know I am clean."
